The Philadelphia Eagles have signed Olympic athlete Devon Allen, fourth in the 110-meter hurdles final at the Tokyo Games – just four hundredths away from bronze – and fifth in Rio 2016, as a wide receiver, the NFL team reported.
Allen, 27, played football for the University of Oregon before focusing fully on his track career.
“It’s now or never, because I don’t want to get too old,” Allen said. at a Pro Day in Oregon, where he was scouted by NFL scouts. “I don’t want to turn 30, 31 and then try to get into the NFL,” he added.
