Los Atlanta Falcons moved quickly in the quarterback market to find a replacement for Matt Ryan and it didn’t take them long to find his successor.
According to multiple reports, The Falcons will sign a contract with quarterback Marcus Mariota to take the reins of the offense for the next two seasons. Salary specifications were not published.
Mariota spent the last two seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders as Derek Carr’s backup. The QB saw action in 11 games and completed 18 of 30 throws for 230 yards with a TD and an interception. His main contribution to the Las Vegas offense was in QB sneak plays as he totaled 175 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries with the Raiders.

Mariota’s arrival in Atlanta will mean a meeting with head coach Arthur Smithwith whom he met in Tennessee since he was recruited by the Titans in 2015.
