The Cordobans won 0-2 at the Defensa y Justicia field with goals from Passerini and Ulises Sánchez
Both Central Córdoba-Lanús and Banfield-Atlético Tucumán finished 0-2
Belgrano was the only team of the six that played this Monday at the start of the ninth day of the Argentine Soccer League Cup that managed to score and added three points by winning by 0-2 on his visit to Defense and Justice. This result allowed them to remain firm in the leadership of Zone B of this second tournament of the season, with 17 points, three more than Central Córdoba, and five more than their victim today, Defensa y Justicia, and Godoy Cruz. Furthermore, with 53 points in the Annual Table, it occupies seventh position, tied with Godoy Cruz and Rosario Central, just two points away from the first place that gives the right to compete in the 2024 Copa Libertadores and which San Lorenzo currently occupies. The scoring effectiveness of Lucas Passerini, who remains at the top of the scoring table thanks to today’s score, and the second goal scored by Ulises Sánchez gave the victory to the Córdoba team in a day full of draws.
In the same group, the Córdoba Central and the Lanús equalized without goalsa result that was repeated in Zone A on Banfield and the Atlético Tucumán. Both Central Córdoba and Banfield, which occupy the middle part of the accumulated classification and are fighting week after week to escape the relegation spots, added one more point that allows them to breathe although without neglecting themselves with five games left for the conclusion of this competition.

On Wednesday the Independiente-Barracas Central and Platense- Estudiantes matches will be played; on Thursday Gimnasia-Argentinos Juniors, Colón-River Plate, Rosario Central-Vélez Sarsfield, Godoy Cruz-San Lorenzo and Sarmiento-Racing Club; and on Friday Huracán-Instituto, Talleres-Arsenal, Tigre-Newell’s Old Boys and Boca Juniors-Unión.
